Important update from Provet

By Provet Marketing on 17 March 2020 |

Dear valued customers,

At Provet, we continue to closely monitor the coronavirus and its impact across Australia and the globe with a focus on the health and safety of our employees, customers and supply chain partners.

Most importantly, please be aware that our teams continue to take measures to serve you in this unprecedented time. We are working closely with all of our stakeholders to address the needs of your veterinary business and clients and are making adjustments in an effort to anticipate and address potential disruptions.

Across Australia, Provet, like many companies, is implementing workplace regulations and guidelines from government and public health authorities related to COVID-19. This includes frequent washing of hands, daily disinfecting of workspaces, and limiting non-essential travel. In addition, Provet works in partnership with manufacturers, suppliers and global shipping carriers that are also taking the same precautionary methods.

As this outbreak continues to evolve, so will our response. In recent days, we have taken additional actions to support business continuity. We have also taken action, such as applying social distancing, in our distribution centres and with our support staff to enable continuity in product and service fulfillment, which is essential for maintaining and supporting the needs of our veterinary practice customers.

We remain deeply committed to serving the animal health community throughout this crisis. Our aim is to continue to deliver the same great value and service that you have come to expect, and with regular communication and great collaboration, we will work to get through this together.

On 4th March, Provet implemented a “Fair Share” policy on PPE infection control products following an unprecedented increase in demand. We thank all our customers for their support and understanding of this policy. Whilst it may be frustrating for some, this policy helps us to allocate PPE infection control products to more veterinary practices, which ultimately protects a greater number of people. We are working hard on multiple avenues to source more inventory from both local and international suppliers. We would also ask that our customers avoid stockpiling products as we work to maintain continuity of our supply chain, as we start to see purchases of non-essential products start to increase.

At this time, it is understandable for there to be more anxiety than normal in your practice, working with your staff and clients. We recognise this and please know that we will work through these challenges together.

We will continue to provide you with updates as and if the situation changes. Should you have any immediate questions please contact your local Provet Branch.
